“Maya,” which means illusion in Hindi, is a video installation collaboration with Maurizio Pellegrin created for a project room for El Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo, San José, Costa Rica. Maurizio created elegant installations with objects he collected; in turn, I created props, that complemented Maurizio’s objects, and directed Maurizio’s performance of vignettes illustrating three stages of life: childhood, marriage and renunciation.
