A participatory project produced at curator Heather Hart's Bartertown project at the DUMBO Arts Festival in 2011. Bartertown brought together many artists on Washington Street between Water Street and Plymouth Streets in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. For six hours on September 24th, 2011 Swati Khurana transcribed passerbys' saved text messages onto translucent scrolls and collaborated with her grandmothers who crocheted ribbons to tie and adorn the scrolls.
